Get a glimpse into the creative spaces that make up The Bijou, an old Art Deco cinema that is now a creative hub for artists and craftsmen in Observatory, Cape Town.

Visit the studios of artists Simone Verfaille, Yasmin Ezzideen, Linda Graaff, Silverlight Studio and Gerben Meiring, as well as printmaking studio Loft Editions and MercerBikes run by Dave Mercer who hand builds beautiful, bespoke, one-off bicycles. 

Other events happening at The Bijou Project Space are a lecture by Conrad Hicks, ‘Art Is a Tool’, happening on Friday at 11:00, and a Wet Plate Collodion demonstration, happening at Silverlight Studios on Friday at 13:00. On Saturday at 10:00 you can attend a monotype printmaking workshop at Loft Editions run by Georgina Berens.
