Bookies & Stuff hosted by Cate Otto — Shaping Memories

ACTIVATION

With the rise of digitality, we are losing both artisanal skill and analogue modes of doing. There is no longer any need to remember — all we have to do is scroll and our devices will do the rest. This externalisation of our memory robs us of the opportunity to accidentally stumble upon hidden recollections, and limits us to only that which was recorded.

Hosted by writer Cate Otto, this trio of creative workshops explore the intersection between making and memory using a combination of writing, collaging, bookfolding and guided reflection.
