Bumba Souled Ceramics Open Studio

The open studio of Bumba Souled, the ceramic art and design studio founded by multidisciplinary artist and designer Rejoice Kunene, showcases Bumba’s Geleza Flow pots, new sculptural candleholders, selected ceramic pieces and works in progress. Visitors have the opportunity to experience the objects alongside the processes behind them, from hand-building and coiling to experimentation with form, texture and surface.

More than a showcase of finished pieces, the activation offers a glimpse into Bumba’s creative world: how ideas develop through clay, how forms evolve through making, and how African cultural memory, storytelling and contemporary design continue to shape the practice.

The Open Studio marks a new chapter for Bumba Souled Ceramics as it settles into its new creative home at Ellis House Art Building.
