Hoi P’loy: A Product Developer’s Guide to Luminaire Design

A workshop for emerging designers, makers, doodlers, tinkerers, and anyone who has ever looked at a lamp and thought, “I could make that”. The session kicks off with a fun deep dive into the “Anatomy of a Light,” unpacking all the bits and pieces that go into a working light and covering some of the primary lingo.

Participants will then have the chance to share a concept, rough sketch, or even a half-formed lighting dream before breaking into smaller groups based on different lighting categories, such as pendants, wall sconces, table lamps, and floor lamps. The Hoi P’loy team will offer feedback, ideas, and the occasional gentle reality check where needed.

This workshop is free, however space is limited so registering is essential.
