Mele Studios: Capsule Collection Launch

Mele Studios, founded by Kagiso Makgalemele, presents its inaugural collection at Akra Bar, Cape Town.

Crafted from steel, wood, and ceramics, the capsule collection explores light and shadow, monolithic forms, and organic layering; creating a visual language that is both parts monastic and sensual.

The activation opens on 22 October with a special guests viewing from 18:00 to 19:00, followed by an opening open to the public. Responding to the collection, the Akra team will serve signature drinks and snacks developed from a Mele Studios brief, alongside a soundscape curated by Kagiso himself. The collection remains on view on 23 and 24 October during Akra’s trading hours, from 18:00 until late.
