MŪVEK x CVN

For Design Week South Africa 2026, MŪVEK and CVN present a focused exhibition examining the relationship between architecture, furniture and object design.

At its centre are four chairs from the MŪVEK collection: distinctly architectural designs that demonstrate the shared thinking between the two practices. Through structure, proportion, material and construction, the chairs sit between furniture and architecture — objects at the scale of the body, conceived with the logic and discipline of buildings.

Presented alongside a chronological timeline of MŪVEK’s designs, the exhibition traces an ongoing exchange between CVN’s architectural practice and MŪVEK’s work with furniture and objects. Rather than treating these as separate disciplines, the presentation considers them as different expressions of the same design language, moving between the scale of a building, its interiors, and the objects that inhabit it.
