PICHULIK x Piano Terra Unveil ‘SASSO’

Pichulik unveils ‘SASSO’ — a limited edition ceramic pendant created in collaboration with Italian ceramic artist Serena Ghidini of Piano Terra Ceramiche based in Parma.

Inspired by a rock Serena found in the Sassi Piatti area of Sardinia, Sasso carries the organic, feminine forms of that landscape into a hand-shaped stoneware pendant. The launch is an immersive evening featuring a scent installation by Caroline Wachsmuth and an accompanying video piece, inviting guests into the slowness and material honesty at the heart of the collaboration.

Founded and led by Creative Director Katherine-Mary Pichulik, Pichulik is a local, ethical jewellery and accessories atelier rooted in Africa and inspired by mythology. Working entirely by hand, Serena from Piano Terra Ceramiche forages wild clays, granite, minerals, and sands, incorporating them into experimental glazes and engobes so that landscape enters the work materially rather than decoratively.

Together, Pichulik and Piano Terra unite two material-driven practices in a shared act of cultural exchange between South Africa and Italy.
