The Pulse of Culture

The Pulse of Culture is a series of public talks exploring how music, design, art and creative communities shape contemporary culture. It is hosted by Katya Volkova and supported by A1 drinks.

As part of Design Week, this latest edition focuses on the dialogue between musicians and designers. From album artwork and visual identities to stage design, live shows, creative direction and audience experience — the conversation looks at what happens when musicians and designers build a world together.

What does each discipline bring to the other? Who leads the conversation: the artist, the designer, the creative director, or the audience? And how does an idea change once it leaves the studio and becomes part of a shared public experience?

The discussion will explore collaboration, experimentation, visual language, underground culture and the responsibility of creating work that feels authentic within a rapidly changing cultural landscape.
