Ask Me Anything is a month-long initiative aimed at providing aspiring creative professionals and interested individuals with key insights from leaders in various fields through meaningful one-on-one conversation on the stoep of the Duck Duck Goose store, 120 Bree Street.
BOOK YOUR SLOT :
Happening every Sunday for March, participants will be able to RSVP a 10-minute time slot to sit down with the full attention of an established industry professional on Duck Duck Goose’s bench. The Ask Me Anything consultations will begin at 12:00 and finish at 15:00. Please be sure to honour your booking or to be in touch if you are unable to attend.
We urge guests to arrive 15 minutes early for their consultation and identify themselves to the staff at Duck Duck Goose. Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with one another on either side of their 10-minute consultation with the special guest.
ABOUT DUCK DUCK GOOSE :
Duck Duck Goose is a multi-brand store that is home to a curation of independently owned South African fashion and lifestyle brands. As a central meeting point for creatives in Cape Town, Duck Duck Goose is committed to cultivating and fostering an integrated community amongst those interested in fashion, design, music and other associated fields. In the context of what many call a “gatekept” industry, the motivation for the Ask Me Anything initiative is to provide aspiring creative professionals with the opportunity to draw on the experience and knowledge of a respected and established industry professional.
Furniture will be provided by FEDE Arthouse to enable comfortable conversation on the sidewalk of 120 Bree Street between those who have come to the store for the same purpose. If your preferred slot is booked, we still encourage you to come in case there is a last-minute cancellation.
Ask Me Anything forms part of Sunday Street Experiment on Bree Street, initiated by Urban Mobility, the Mayor’s Office at the City of Cape Town, Young Urbanists South Africa, and Street Experiments Afrika.
We’re excited to see you there!

The guest for the second edition of Ask Me Anything is professional photographer Gabrielle Kannemeyer.
Gabrielle’s work celebrates the diverse environment of her upbringing, capturing vibrant colourscapes that highlight the beauty of humanity across various landscapes with a touch of surrealism. Throughout her career, Gabrielle has been a dedicated advocate for inclusivity in the creative process, fostering welcoming and accommodating spaces for everyone involved, both in front of and behind the camera. Creating a sense of calm and safety during her collaborations is of utmost importance to her.
Notably, Gabrielle has collaborated with a diverse range of clients, including brands such as Daily Paper, Adidas, Nike, Apple Music, Gucci, Netflix, Venus, Havana Club and many others. In addition to her commercial work, Gabrielle is deeply involved in documenting South Africa’s horse cultures, her lens is focused currently particularly on horse shows and communities in the Western Cape’s Overberg region. In one of her long term projects, she has been documenting the lives of young riders aged between 9 and 21 in a small valley full of wild-roaming horses as they navigate the remarkable worlds they have created for themselves.
Beyond her own photography, Gabrielle is teaching these young riders the art of photography, equipping them with the tools to tell their own stories through their own lenses and create archives to preserve their stories for the future.
