A collaborative showcase from the studios of Koooooos and Ex Hotel.

The result of a long-brewing series of small plans with biggish ambitions. Animated by many short, stolen research sessions and a willingness to publicly fail, this exhibition brings together two complimentary crafts: a first collection of ceramics figures and a long history of fine wood-working.

With references to classical sculpture and furniture from antiquity, this show explores timeless creative urges and putting one’s faults on a pedestal. An exercise in what things might have looked like if one had more time to spend on the things one loved to do.

About Kooooooos

Koos Groenewald is a graphic designer, illustrator, artist and one half of design studio, Jana and Koos. This is Koos’ first ceramic exhibition as he explores this new medium.

About Ex.Hotel

A fictional hotel with real furniture, Ex.Hotel was established by Gabriel Hope as a platform for conceptual projects and crafted furniture pieces.
