Critical Mass Daytime Cycle with Banditz Bicycle Club & Cycle Boutique
(Saturday, 9:30 – 12:30 | Open event, free of charge)
Critical Mass Johannesburg Daytime Cycle
Since its inception in 2007, Critical Mass Johannesburg has been all about reclaiming the city streets for cyclists, raising awareness of cycling as a sustainable, safe, and enjoyable mode of transport. This special daytime edition will highlight the need for better cycling infrastructure, like connected cycling lanes and safer streets for local commuters.
Starting and finishing at The Zone at Rosebank, we’ll explore how urban design can transform Johannesburg into a more pedestrian and cyclist-friendly city. Design Week activations will take place at both 44 Stanley and Rosebank, showcasing alternative mobility solutions through safer, more inclusive urban planning.
Whether you’re a regular rider or new to cycling, bring your bike, lights, helmet, and reflective gear to join the ride. Bike hire is available for R200, if needed, through Cycle Boutique
Let’s come together to envision a safer, more vibrant city where cycling is accessible to all!
