Wet Plate Collodion demonstration at Silverlight Studio
(Friday, 13:00 + 13:30 | Register for free)
Witness a Wet Plate Collodion demonstration which will involve photographing an object or a still life. The Wet Plate Collodion process involves coating individual glass plates with an emulsion, sensitising the plates with silver nitrate in the darkroom, before exposing the plates in a large format camera and then developing the plate before it dries out in the darkroom. The process is technically demanding and temperamental but it produces magical results.
