About Wiid
The creative clout of self-taught Cape Town based designer Laurie Wiid van Heerden can be seen in a body of work that transcends design disciplines, embraces materiality and thrives on the curiosity and learnings of collaboration.
Walking into Wiid’s Cape Town studio with its views of Table Mountain is like stepping into a cabinet of curiosities where the temptation to touch and feel is as critical as sight. Here Laurie’s ideas take on many forms; from giant cork pendants that draw the eye upward to hand-blown glass tumblers designed to cradle perfectly in the palm of one’s hand or the raw glamour of handmade ceramic tabletops glazed to perfection in an ombré of autumnal shades.
The studio consists of a double volume space with offices for the designers, a showroom, ceramic studio and factory.
Space is limited, book your spot here.
