The Activation
Join Khaltsha Cycles and the Active Mobility Forum for a special BikeBus ride from Khayelitsha to Langa as part of Open Langa 2025 — a day when the streets of Langa are transformed into safe, car-free public spaces for walking, cycling, and celebration.
We’ll depart from Khaltsha Cycles at 11:00 AM, riding together through Spine Road, Mew Way, and Bhunga Avenue before arriving in Langa around 12:30 PM — just in time for the start of Open Langa. The group ride will move at a relaxed, social pace with support riders, short stops, and safety marshals along the way.
This ride is open to everyone — whether you’re an experienced cyclist or trying it for the first time. Bring your own bike or rent one for R50 (indicate on the sign-up form if you need to rent a bike).
You can also join the BikeBus from the CBD via Observatory to Langa following the Safe Passage Route.
