The Activation
Join FIELDS founder Mikael Hanan in the brand’s first Johannesburg store this weekend for a look at the new space, and a meet and greet with Mikael.
A collaborative design process with interior designer Lei Lester, the space invites conversation and slow exploration, offering the brand’s full ready-to-wear collection, accessories, and seasonal drops, alongside limited pieces created in collaboration with South African artists and artisans.
The Brand
FIELDS is for multifaceted men with our pieces embracing nuanced masculinity. The brand is organised into three lines: Soul, encompassing contemplation, purity, connection and integrity; Art, including impactful work, creativity and leadership; Outdoor, the tactile, the natural environment and physicality. Crafted in sustainable, natural fibres sourced and made throughout Southern Africa, F I E L D S proudly showcases the exceptional quality our yarn and factory partners bring through their manufacturing. Every season we collaborate with an artist from across Africa, translating their work into limited-edition pieces. By exhibiting the artists’ works as apparel, we enable the wearers to express themselves profoundly by living in the art they so appreciate. FIELDS’ garments are created to be collected over the years, to be shared in journeys from the home to the workspace, from the streets to the outdoors and in cities across the world.
