The Activation
Join Premesh Lalu for a guided tour of the Iyatsiba Lab, an interdisciplinary research space exploring heritage, technology, and memory. The tour runs from 12:00 to 14:00 and offers visitors an inside look at the lab’s ongoing projects and collections.
At 14:00, Daryl Hendley Rooney, historian in residence at the Little Museum of Dublin and current fellow of the Charlotte Maxeke–Mary Robinson Irish Studies Chair, will deliver a public lecture introducing Together Apart – a new exhibition on the Irish Anti-Apartheid Movement. The exhibition opens in Dublin in May 2026 and at the Iyatsiba Lab in August 2026.
Presented as part of Design Week Cape Town, this event connects histories of solidarity, scholarship, and design across continents.
