The Activation
The Witness of Cloth is a mini textile installation by Sari for Change, created by Iman Ganijee and Rayana Edwards. Drawing on their mixed heritage, the work explores how textiles bear witness to identity, migration, and belonging — tracing a dialogue between Africa and Asia through reimagined fabrics such as Khanga, Sari, Banarasi, and Madras.
The installation reflects how cloth holds memory — of ancestors, journeys, and the women who transform tradition into contemporary expression.
Sari for Change is a social-impact fashion initiative that upcycles heritage textiles into resort, occasion, and heritage pieces, made by women artisans through skills training and creative collaboration. Visitors will also be able to preview the brand’s new Summer Range, launching soon online.
