The Activation
Hosted at Anna Weylandt’s beautiful 107 Castle Street space, Design Week’s The Things We Love exhibition is curated by Simone Schultz and Bielle Bellingham.
The Things We Love invites creative practitioners in Cape Town to open their homes (and in some cases, their studios) and share meaningful items from their personal collections. Celebrating local design, the exhibition is as a personal archive for those in our design community and explores how objects reveal something essential about the relationship between maker and collector, and between the things we choose to live with and the lives they help us construct.
Participants include Masego Morgan, Daniel Sher, Tandekile Mkize, Onesimo Bam, Viveka and Rucita Vassen of Studio Ananta, Koos Groenewald, Katherine Pichulik, Hannerie Visser, Anna Weylandt and Amy Ellenbogen.
