DORMANTYOUTH is the creative and cultural practice run by Thelma Ndebele who is a non-binary, femme, black qualified architect and international DJ based in Johannesburg, South Africa . As a Night Embassy & SaveTheNight partner, DORMANTYOUTH creative directs and co-produces Groove Biennale, a bi-annual architecture and music festival that celebrates the alternative nightlife scenes that originate, find home, or grow in Johannesburg. The festival promotes inclusivity in both identity and music genre and fosters experimental interdisciplinary design to engage the traditional architectural profession with youth culture and nightlife.
